Scope versus Red dot site.

I got the 5 gen. scope the other day, and it is great. Very accurate and easily calibrated. It has good zoom and looks really good on my M4

On the other hand, I've been using a red dot for a while and it has worked. But...is just doesn't look as nice. However I find that in quick situations I can aim a lot faster with it. But it just looks puny on the M4.

I stuck the red dot on my UTG shotgun and I think I'm gonna keep it there. For fast paced games that are at close range I'll probably end up using the shotgun over the M4. It's much lighter, and is very accurate.

Here's another pic of the UTG

But the fifth generation scope is a good product that would complement snipers, riflemen, and all airsofters

Is that the cyber gun AEG or did you just get a new body for it? Either way, the scope looks nice on that gun. I'm thinking about picking up an ICS M4 with or without rails. Still debating on that one. SAD has the one with rails for only 50 bucks more, and it comes with a vertical grip as well as a PEQ 2 box for a larger battery.

No it's an ICS M4. With some upgraded internals. I'm too lazy to list them right now, but It's shooting about 350fps, give or take.

As for batteries, I hate battery boxes. Just my pet peeve, so I've spent a little extra investing in a nun-chuck.

The new Olympic Arms M4 with the rails is pretty nice. I've seen one. Stick a scope on there and WAMM! You've got a good looking sniper rifle. (Upgrade the internals though) Good choice.

I'm thinking you might be right. The battery box might get a little bulky to carry around. If I wanted a vertical grip, I could always get that little rail thing that mounts to an M4 fore-grip.

Sure, they sell some at Shortyusa. Normally I wouldn't advocate shorty but they're the only place I've seen them for an M4.

Is this what you're looking for?

I also thought this was pretty cool too:

Those are exactly the rails I'm looking for. Thanks Ryan, and that other thing is friggin sweet!

QUICK question Ryan, how much is JT selling the UTG Shotty for, and could you somehow compare the speed of it to another gun?

Thanks in advance,

-Brian

Actually Jungle Toy doesn't even have the UTG yet.

But compared to my M4. I would say that it shoots probably 280-300fps with a .2g BB. Cause it shoots about the same the M4 did when it was stock.

I just bought the UTG from airsplat. The only reason why I bought it from there is because they are in california which means it comes sooner, and three day shipping was an extra two bucks from ground which is a REALLY good deal. I should have it by Thursday or Friday.

Two more questions.

1) Do all the UTG Shotties come with a sling or is that just Shorty because Airsplat mentions nothing about the sling, but then again they don't mention the adjustable hop-up.

2) Are there more than one version because the one on Airsplat does not mention adjustable hop-up. For double checking, here's the EXACT gun I bought... http://airsplat.com/Items/AR-SOFT-M87L.htm .

Thanks so much for the help,

Brian

1) Yes they all com with a sling. It's in the box, but since it's free, it's cheap. If you're gonna use a sling, I would recommend buying a better one.

2) No the UTG is the UTG. It's actually the first gun ever made by UTG which suprized me because of the quality gun it is. You got the good one.

Hey dont diss the red dot. So long as it works you will get your use out of it. I have an aimpoint replica, and I love it. Gets the job done, and looks great with the Cantilever mount.

I was going to say that the red dot looks better on the shotty and the scope on the M4.
